Metuh back to prison after EFCC arraigns him on two new charges, including destruction of Evidence

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), National Publicity Secretary, Olisah Metuh, on Thursday appeared in an FCT High Court, Abuja, on a fresh two-count charge.

Metuh was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged destruction and mischief of tearing into pieces EFCC document.
The charges contravened Section 326 and punishable under Section 327 of the law.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Prosecuting Counsel, Mr Sylvanus Tahir, told the court that they had three witnesses and applied for date for hearing.
But, Metuh’s Counsel, Mr Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN), told the court that he had an application for bail and implored the court to hear it.
The judge, Justice Ishaq Bello, adjourned the case till February 26, for EFCC’s witnesses.
Bello promised to communicate to both parties if the bail application would be heard on Friday or on Monday.
“I shall communicate to both parties if the bail application will be possible tomorrow.
He remanded Metuh in prison custody.
