A senseless husband has brutally beaten and dragged his pregnant wife on the concrete floor after an argument. The pregnant woman was badly beaten over the weekend by her husband for allegedly stealing money he claimed to have left in their matrimonial home.
According to the Star, Justa Kawira, 22, was hospitalized in the capital Nairobi after John Wachira, her husband of six years, gave her a serious beating for stealing money. The beating was so much that the wife bled before passing out. When she later emerged from the encounter, she was bruised and had all her body swollen.
Kawira said the husband claimed he could not find his money inside the house after he arrived home drunk.
"I told him I did not steal any money but he started beating me until I fled to a friend's house, before returning on Monday after he left for work," she was quoted as saying.
News24 reports that the foolish man had no shame as he was captured on camera molesting and beating his pregnant wife over money theft allegation.
Kawira's mother, Anne, said she had tied in vain over the years to get her daughter out of the abusive relationship.
" I have tried and tried but now this cannot happen again. It must end now," said the mother.
The police have arrested Wachira and later released him on bail, pending investigations into the matter.
