31 year old Teacher Who Faces Conviction for Having S*x With an Under-age Student Sues Him for Filming Their Encounter

A 31 year old  Corpus Christi teacher who was convicted of having s*x with a 17-year-old student and pleaded no contest to an affair with another has sued the first student for recording their sexual encounter.

The New York Daily News reported Tanya Ramirez, a 31-year-old former teacher and coach at King High School, claims in a lawsuit that the student caused her emotional distress by filming them during s*x in 2014, sharing the video with friends and allowing it to be posted to YouTube. The student later provided the cellphone recording to the police showing Ramirez bent over with a tattoo on her lower back.

“You can’t have s*x with someone and film it without their knowledge, and post it on the Internet,” Amie Pratt, a lawyer for Ramirez, told the Daily News.Ramirez has also filed a defamation lawsuit against the student’s mother for speaking to the press about the teacher and calling her a predator, The Corpus Christi-Caller Times reported.
Additionally, Ramirez’s lawyers are challenging the constitutionality of the charges against the former teacher, appealing the case before the 13th Court of Appeals.

The 31-year-old former teacher pleaded guilty on Jan. 11 to a second-degree felony charge of improper relationship between an educator and student. Ramirez will receive seven years probation in that case. She pleaded no contest on a second charge of having s*x with a separate student, according to the Caller-Times.It is unclear whether she still faces punishment in the second case or whether it was part of the plea deal.
