Father and son charged with murder

                   Johnny and John Clark

A 35-year-old Greenup County man was shot and killed after an alleged fight with two other men at an Argillite home on Saturday night.

Todd Anthony Rowe died after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds, according to Kentucky State Police.
Johnny Clark, 48, and his son, John Clark, 21, both of Argillite, were charged with murder. The son held down Rowe while the father, Johnny Clark, allegedly shot and killed him with a 12-gauge shotgun, according to court records. Johnny Clark admitted to the shooting, according to the arrest complaint.
KSP responded to a call from the Greenup County Sheriff's Department regarding an alleged shooting at 32 Moccasin Way around 10 p.m. Saturday. The incident took place at a white mobile home inhabited by Johnny Clark.
A physical altercation between the three men resulted in the shooting of Rowe, police said.
Medics tended to Rowe in a field next to the residence after the shooting before he was transported in an ambulance. Moccasin Way is a thin roadway located across from Cherokee Lake in Argillite. Rowe lived near Moccasin Way with family members, who said they are unsure why the shooting took place.
The Clarks fled the scene. Investigators found Johnny in a wooded area near his home. John was found in a nearby home. Investigators said both men had blood on their clothes.
The father and son, who are lodged in the Greenup County Detention Center, appeared in court Monday afternoon and were appointed attorneys with the bond set at $500,000 cash. They have a preliminary hearing next week.
Rowe was born in Ashland and attended both Greenup and Boyd County High School.

An autopsy was scheduled for Monday at the state medical examiner’s office in Frankfort. Detective Sam Lawson is still investigating the case.
