Man stabbed several times on his way to work

Daniel Young, 30, was stabbed on a pathway used as a short-cut to Morden station in South London shortly after 8am yesterday.

Horrified passers-by administered first aid until emergency services arrived.
An air ambulance landed at Kendor Gardens but paramedics were unable to save Mr Young who died at the scene.

A post-mortem exam is yet to take place but police confirmed he had suffered stab wounds.
Friends today paid tribute to Daniel and said he was on his way to start just the second day of his dream job as a university lecturer when he was stabbed
Two housemates, who have lived with Daniel for three years, paid tribute to their friend.
One female friend, who didn't wish to be named, said: "It was his dream job. He was very excited about it.
"He had done his masters recently, before that he had been a general manager at a hotel in Wimbledon on Broadway.
"He was from Torquay, he did have a long standing girlfriend - I can't you her name - they been going out for years."
The second housemate, who also refused to give a name, said: "He was just a lovely guy.
"He loved to keep fit, he was always going to the gym.
"We had done the Welsh 3000 challenge and we had done Tough Mudder challenge as well."
Neighbour Sures Amin, 64, said: "He was just a really good guy. Just before Christmas I was burgled and he came over in the night and helped me.
"I guess he was a bit of a hero then. The police had been called but he made me a cup of tea.
"We used to share rubbish trips, taking stuff to the dump, to save money.
"He used to come round a lot of house. You can complain about people for having parties, he was never like that. He was just a really good guy.
