Rapper Jailed for Posting Revenge S*x Video of Pregnant Girlfriend on Facebook (Photo)

A 18-year-old rapper has found himself in deep trouble with the law after he posted video of him having s*x with the girlfriend on Facebook out of revenge.

The man named Thomas Ormsby caused the victim great suffering and emotional pain as she thought of committing suicide.

Prosecuting lawyer John Owston described it as "a nasty offence". Mr Owston said: "The young lady in her victim statement draws attention to the fact that, at the time, she wasn't confident of her body and that exacerbated the shame she felt, especially as it was shown for all to see.

"Because of the video, she suffered with her health and at some stage felt suicidal thoughts.

"The victim also became pregnant to the defendant and because of the stress caused, there were problems with the pregnancy.

"She is adamant a restraining order is put in place."

He admitted disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress. In the light of that, the court made Ormsby, a student at Hull College, East Yorks, the first person in the city to be prosecuted under a new law introduced in April to protect "revenge porn" victims.

The law defines revenge porn as "photographs or films which show people engaged in sexual activity or depicted in a sexual way or with their genitals exposed, where what is shown would not usually be seen in public" and which are distributed without the person's permission and with intent to cause harm or distress.

The rapper was sentenced for his crime

Mitigating at Hull Magistrates' Court, Andrew Robinson said: "It is, I concede, a very serious offence. He has, however, expressed appropriate remorse.

"He has also made full admissions when interviewed by the police."

Sentencing Ormsby, of Scunthorpe, Lincs, District Judge Frederick Rutherford said his actions were vile and disgusting.

He said: "This matter before the court is an extremely serious one.

"When you did what you did, and until Facebook decided to take the video down, you had no feelings whatsoever as regards to the effects it would have.

"You would have intended to cause as much pain as possible, without any care in the world for that young lady.

"I've heard all about your problems, but it's the effect it would have had on her because of your vile act we need to think about."

The Judge jailed Ormsby four months and handed a restraining order banning him from contacting his victim in any way. He must also pay an £80 victim surcharge.
